Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: We Are Here To Help

Categories: General Dentistry

Update as of April 16, 2020

The Louisiana Department of Health has extended its mandate to April 30th. Dental offices are strictly prohibited from performing any non-essential/ routine dental treatment during this time. This means we are limited to treating dental emergencies only!

We will continue to see emergency cases by appointment only on: Mondays starting at 9:30 and Thursdays starting at 9:00. These hours and days are subject to change.

If you are experiencing pain, swelling or think you have a dental condition that is an emergency, please call our office at 647-1900.

We are making every effort to have someone available to answer the phone during our regular office hours with some exceptions. We recommend calling in the morning if you would like a return call the same day. If we are not there, please leave a message and someone will return your call as soon as possible. We are checking our messages daily and returning calls the next business day. We appreciate your patience during this very difficult time and we look forward to taking care of you and your family when this is all over.

March 20, 2020

We, like you, understand that these are challenging and unprecedented times that we are facing as a nation and community due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. To comply with the Louisiana Department of Health and increase public safety, our office will only be seeing patients for essential/emergency dental treatment effective immediately until April 17, 2020, unless otherwise stated in writing.

This means that we will not be seeing any routine hygiene patients or doing any nonessential procedures. Essential (emergency) dental treatment is defined by fever, swelling or severe pain. Louisiana State Board defines non-essential treatment as a procedure that can be delayed for 30 days in the clinical judgment of the dentist, without running an undue risk of harm to the patient.

If you have a dental emergency, please call our office at 225-647-1900. If we are unable to take your call, please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding during this stressful time.
