It’s officially almost Christmastime and although we are all excited to for Santa to arrive, we wanted to make sure all of our readers don’t forget to tend to their teeth this holiday season!
Here are some tips to keep in mind:
1.) Watch out for hard Christmas candies.
Although we all love candy canes, pralines and peppermints. These hard candies can cause serious damage to your teeth if you aren’t careful. Make sure to brush frequently and chew slowly to prevent any toothaches.
2.) Watch the sugary drinks
If you like red wine or soda for Christmas, make sure to keep your toothbrush handy as too much sugar can lead to cavities and other tooth-related injuries!
3.) Eat more turkey
Turkey is one-holiday food we actually recommend! Turkey is a great source of phosphorus and protein, which are both great for fighting tooth decay! Thank us later 😉
4.) Give the gift of time
To keep your mind off of sugary treats this Christmas, try focusing on other fun activities to bring everyone together that keep your teeth and family happy.
